Learning & Teaching Designer and Developer

This full-time, permanent position supports the Learning & Teaching department, reporting to the Head of Learning & Teaching, bringing content to life as seamless, interactive modules on our LMS platform, REGenius.

Duties:

  • Uploading and illustrating interactive modules on Moodle
  • Maintaining live modules on the LMS platform, REGenius
  • Gamification of modules offered by L&T/ACE
  • Regularly patrolling weblinks and other resources on ACE and Personal Mastery sections of REGenius to ensure all are working
  • Reviewing and testing all resources at go-live
  • Setting up online assessments for ACE Access
  • Working with course writers on developing new material
  • Liaise with L&T Coordinator on new course rollouts and manage the delivery of modules as per the production schedule for the ACE unit
  • Designing Micro-learning modules and learning pathways
  • Badging and certifications
  • Assisting with any other duties as directed by the Head of Learning & Teaching

Education

Degree or Diploma or equivalent in a relevant field.

Requirements

  • Familiarity with major learner management systems, especially Moodle
  • An active interest in the use of technology to support learning
  • Ability to learn new IT applications swiftly
  • Ability to meet targets and deadlines
  • Understanding of AI and the use of AI in education
  • Ability to use basic custom code
  • Artistic and creative flair – able to apply basic design principles

The following skills would be advantageous:

  • Understanding of and appreciation for higher education
  • Basic website development skills – ensuring content for the ACE webpage and Personal Mastery website are up to date
  • Basic graphic design and video editing skills
