Job Summary:
The Conference and Webinar Producer is responsible for the end-to-end production of high-impact conferences and webinars. This role focuses on speaker acquisition, market research, and project management to ensure the successful delivery of events that engage industry leaders and provide value to attendees. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in conferencing, with experience in speaker recruitment, event planning, and content curation for international audiences.

Key Responsibilities:
• Manage the entire production process of conferences and webinars, from concept to completion.
• Recruit and confirm top-tier speakers, including C-suite executives and HR leaders from leading national and international brands.
• Conduct thorough market research to identify industry trends, key topics, and potential speakers that align with event goals.
• Leverage existing relationships with industry leaders to secure high-profile speakers and ensure a diverse speaker lineup.
• Coordinate all aspects of speaker management, including invitations, confirmations, and pre-event briefings.
• Collaborate closely with marketing, PR, and project management teams to drive event success and meet deadlines.
• Maintain and grow a network of speaker contacts through strategic engagement on platforms like LinkedIn.
• Ensure all logistical elements of the conference and webinar production, including scheduling, speaker materials, and technical requirements, are in place.
• Produce post-event reports, evaluating the success of events and identifying areas for improvement.
Qualifications and Experience:
• A relevant degree, with an additional diploma in events or conferencing being advantageous.
• 3-5 years of commercial conference production experience (not event management), with a strong focus on speaker acquisition for webinars.
• Proven track record of securing high-profile speakers, particularly C-suite and HR professionals, for both national and international events.
• Previous experience working at companies such as Marcus Evans Group, IQPC, Terrapin, Informa, Reed, or Clarion Events is preferred.
• International experience, particularly within the African market, is highly desirable.
• Professional membership in relevant industry bodies is a plus.
• Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple events simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
• Excellent writing and communication skills for speaker invitations, event materials, and post-event reports.
• A solid understanding of marketing and PR as they relate to conference and webinar promotion.
