Event Overview
Traditionally, the healthcare industry has followed a conventional supplier-consumer relationship. However, the industry faces new challenges to deliver better health outcomes and services at a lower cost to all South Africans. Leaders in the healthcare field will share their experiences in overcoming the challenges of skills development and how they implemented effective, workable solutions.

The digital revolution is having an unprecedented impact on the development of skills, the future of work, people and learning. Developments in robotics, social media, AI, drones, machine learning, and virtual reality, are placing bewildering new demands on the  workforce. HR professionals have to find new ways to manage skills development while attracting new talent. They have to develop, reward and retain, and inspire passion, innovation, entrepreneurial spirit and excellence.

Event Outcomes
The Forum will address the practical applications of skills development in the healthcare industry and the challenges faced in the digital age. By attending this Forum you will learn about how successful healthcare organisations go about skills development and how they are reshaping the future with new approaches. Work teams have to constantly reinvent themselves and master new skills and different delivery mindsets.. You will learn how effective HR leaders in the healthcare industry balance the need for skills development with the constant drive towards labour elasticity, increased productivity and innovation. Increasingly intelligent machines are redefining the need for human intervention and current workforces encounter an uncertain career where men and women are replaced by machines.

The Forum is made up of seasoned experts; each will address a particular aspect of future skills challenges and opportunities in the healthcare industry. You will get an opportunity to direct your questions to the forum members and you will get your most pressing questions answered.
