Many public servants have deep workplace experience and possess two-year diplomas as their highest qualification, especially those in nursing and education. But without an NQF Level 7 qualification they cannot undertake Honours and Masters level programmes.
The successful completion of the National Diploma in Public Administration NQF Level 7 opens an education pathway to complete a Postgraduate Diploma in Public management – NQF Level 8, MBA or a Master in Public Management – NQF Level 9 and a Doctoral degree – NQF Level 10.
The qualification consists of Eight (8) modules and a Final Integrated Summative Assessment (FISA)

Public Policy Management
Public Communication Strategies
Deliver public value;
Formulate and evaluate public sector policies and programmes; • Fulfil management functions required to deliver public value;
Conceptualise, design and implement a public sector development management framework;
Fulfil management functions required to deliver public value; • Conceptualise, design and implement a public sector development management framework;
Integrate public administration under the rule of law.
On completion, the following certification will be awarded:
A PSETA Certificate & Services SETA Statement of Achievement will be awarded to all delegates who successfully complete all portfolio requirements; or
A PSETA Statement of Achievement will be awarded to all delegates who successfully complete some, but not all, of the modules’ portfolio requirements. The Statement of Results will only reflect the modules successfully completed; or
A Regenesys Certificate of Attendance will be awarded to all delegates who attended all training sessions, but who do not complete any portfolio requirements successfully.
