The purpose of this course is to recognise the meaning and importance of innovation – not only for the success of a business, but for our economies and future generations. Participants will consider the typologies of innovation, explore the innovation frameworks of some leading authorities on the subject and look at the challenges and risks.
Upon completing this course, you should be able to:
Reflect critically on the importance of innovation for organisations, and analyse the critical factors for innovation success
Assess innovation management models and evaluate leading approaches to innovation, including frameworks and processes
Critically evaluate different methods for generating ideas and managing uncertainty in the innovation process
Evaluate core competencies and knowledge-based characteristics required to support innovation
Exploit strategic alliances and networks to create innovative ways of doing business
Compare and contrast innovation with research and development
Critically evaluate the innovative approaches used in product and service development
A Certificate of Competence will be awarded to all participants who successfully submit and pass their assignments, and exams*
A Certificate of Completion will be awarded to all who successfully submit and pass their assignments
A Certificate of Attendance will be awarded to all who attended the training session
On successful completion of this short learning programme, the participant may be considered for exemption from the equivalent course in the respective qualification, provided that he or she meets qualification entrance criteria. Exemption fees may apply.
