This course is structured to critically evaluate the methods to monitor and evaluate public programmes, skills needed to monitoring and evaluation and an analysis of the public sector monitoring and evaluation framework.

Upon completing this course, you should be able to:
Explain the monitoring and evaluation process
Demonstrate the importance of a monitoring and evaluation system
Assess the success factors of a monitoring and evaluation system
Evaluate different M&E models and techniques applicable to the public and development sectors
Identify relevant public sector policies and directives and determine their impact on the organisation
Interrogate the relevant legislation informing the monitoring and evaluation process within the Public Sector
Develop and implement a monitoring and evaluation framework
Assess the impact and likelihood of identified risks within the monitoring and evaluation framework
Interrogate monitoring and evaluation results to inform relevant organisational interventions
Compile a monitoring and evaluation reporting structure to inform future decision making processes.
This course is accredited by the Public Service Sector Education and Training Authority (PSETA). On completion, the following certification will be awarded:
A PSETA Statement of Results will be awarded to all delegates who successfully complete the unit standards’ portfolio requirements; or
A Regenesys Certificate of Attendance will be awarded to all delegates who attended all training sessions, but who do not complete any portfolio requirements successfully.
